What we raise
KuneKune pigs
A grazing breed, docile enough for a small property and content on grass rather than grain. We keep breeding stock and sell weaners and growers.

Pastured chicken
Meat birds raised on pasture and processed here on the farm, in batches small enough that we know how every one of them was kept.
Eggs
The flock that started the farm in 2018. Hens move across the same pasture the pigs graze, which is the point: one animal follows another and the ground gets better for it.
How the pigs are kept
They have never stepped on concrete.
Our pigs are rotationally grazed on pasture. They are moved on before the ground is spent, which keeps the sward growing, the parasites down, and the animals doing the work of tilling and fertilizing for us.
Through the winter we supplement that grass-fed diet with certified organic, soy-free feed from Stone House Grain in Hudson, New York, a mill that grows its own grain twenty minutes from here.
